Organizational Background:
Bishop's Creek Community Development Corporation (BCCDC), a Holy Redeemer Church of God in Christ affiliate, has been in existence since 2004, and continues a storied legacy of community revitalization. Since 1993, HR Housing, Inc., a construction predecessor of BCCDC, began the process of construction, residential housing acquisition, and rehab in the surrounding Northwest side Milwaukee neighborhood. Major construction projects have included a domestic violence shelter, a worship center, a 22 unit senior housing facility, and the acquisition, rehabilitation, and management of six residential properties. From this previous experience, BCCDC was spawned.
